In his first solo exhibition in two years, Yu Yokoyama will present brand news works on the theme of “equilibrium.” The “Jazz” in the title of this show refers to movement, sound, civilization and the West, while the “shazu” is a Japanese term that he uses to connote stillness and silence, spirituality, Asia and the Middle East, and co-existence with nature. See how his works look to strike a balance of sorts.
