Artists

Eri Takayanagi
Eri Takayanagi incorporates common everyday objects into her work, as has been a tendency in contemporary art since the 1990s, and leads the way in emphasizing personal viewpoints through her practice. She has worked with sculpture, installation, and photography among other media, explaining that her approach is to “fumble around the unknown” and to work with locations that “people consider to be neither good nor bad.” Through her constant activity she has consistently demonstrated radical and disruptive developments. For her first solo exhibition at Talion Gallery Takayanagi will present a new installation and sculptural works where you can see familiar objects unexpectedly slip into the strange worlds, and new constructions of, as well as ruptures in, expression.
