2016 was full of monumental events that flashed across international news desks, including top stories such as the Kumamoto earthquake, the Rio Olympics, and the US presidential elections. This exhibition will present historical moments captured by photographers at the forefront of the action. Look back over the year with these images and see how each of the photojournalists has used their technical expertise to record key moments in time. Approximately 300 works have been selected from among the mass of press photographs featured in 2016 in the 33 newspapers, correspondence agencies and broadcasters affiliated with the Tokyo Press Photographers Association.
