After his physical condition deteriorated and Kafkanako found himself unable to produce work for a period of around five years, he underwent brain surgery this January, having a 3cm hole bored into skull in order for the operation on his brain to be carried out. Since opening up this hole, which he liken to the rabbit hole in “Alice in Wonderland,” he has found himself wandering in unknown places and leaking all kinds of thoughts and ideas. In this solo exhibition, Kafkanako will present the wandering beasts that have emerged out of this empty space.
