Exhibition introducing modern Western works of art as well as works of Japanese modern art, including pieces by painters such as Marc Chagall, who is known for his fantastical compositions, and Yasushi Tanaka, a painter linked to Saitama Prefecture who was also active in France during his career. Furthermore, you can learn about the “sacrificial” theory behind the burning process employed by international sculptor Toshikatsu Endo in his work. This exhibition will be hosted alongside the “Toshikatsu Endo: The Archeology of the Sacred” special exhibition now on at Museum of Modern Art, Saitama.
