Akane Ishiga’s cute and fashionable stuffed toy charms are inspired by her taste in fashion and her love of punk and rock music. The adorable toys are injected with her dark sense of humor and they have gained a following of fascinated fans and collectors, their popularity meaning that they often sell out as soon as they appear in her online store. Each stuffed toy is 100% handmade by the artist using organic materials that give them a distinctive charming quality.
In this exhibition, Ishiga will also be showing a selection of pieces produced in collaboration with British illustrator Rob Kidney.
