This festival will present films such as renowned director Lasse Hallström’s “ABBA: The Movie” as well as titles by hot new directors and silent movies to mark the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sweden. Yoshishige Yoshida’s film “Farewell to the Summer Light” (starring Makiko Okada), which was shot across Europe in locations including Denmark and Sweden, will also be screened and followed by a talk event with the director and actress. In addition, a selection of films by Finnish director Mika Kaurismäki and other collections will feature. You can enjoy a total of 14 noteworthy movies from or based in Northern Europe.
