This exhibition series is designed to give children a chance to encounter artists and their work. For this twelfth installment, exhibition room 1 will be packed with works that can experienced as animations when you spin them. These include “animation turntables” created by artist unit Pantograph together with seven teams of animation artists and picture book authors, as well as paintings drawn onto umbrellas that can be spun.
Meanwhile, exhibition room 2 will present photographs taken as part of an outreach project with neighboring elementary schools, introducing children’s own artistic expressions, produced with the assistance of photographer Erika Yoshino.
During the exhibition, there will be a range of workshops hosted together with the participating artists that are set up in the gallery space and which you are free to join at any time. On the closing day there will be a one-night-only performance in the evening by usaginingen with images and music.
