In Japanese pop culture the term “idol” refers to young performers and stars who are typically trained by entertainment companies to sing, dance, act and all-round entertain. This exhibition on the theme of “Idols and Art” will explore the ins and outs of idol culture in Japan, expressing a new side to the multifaceted world of contemporary idoldom through works created by artists who are primarily known for their live performance-based activities.
There will be various talk events scheduled throughout the exhibition period. Please see the official website for further details.
