Yufuji Sait
Yufuji Sait, born in Yamagata City in 1949, graduated with a degree in industrial design from Musashino Art University. He later studied classical oil painting and tempera blending techniques in Vienna. He returned to Japan in 1988 after living in Europe for around 15 years and built a career of international exhibitions while based out of Yamagata City. This exhibition, his first at Galerie Tokyo Humanité since 1989, presents guache paintings of “Ganda,” the rhinoceros featured in Dürer’s prints, along with around 20 tempera panel paintings. This is the first time for the artist to present new works in Tokyo in 15 years.
