For the first volume in this series of exhibitions exploring daily life and design the focus will be on the common “cup.” Drinking water is considered to be one of the most basic actions we partake in on a daily basis. Here, students of design departments at art universities throughout Tokyo will present cups they use at home day-in-day-out alongside those used by veteran designers and creators. Looking at cups - a basic and common tool - you are invited to consider the role of design in daily life.
