Hosting several rounds of dialogue and discussion, Yokohama Round invites experts from various fields to participate in a program of roundtable events. The series kicked off in January 2017 prior to the opening of Yokohama Triennale 2017 and will conclude at the closing of the event.
The theme selected for this Round 3 event is “Islands.” If the conventional worldview is understood as being “continental,” then the view of “islands” may be considered as different - a perspective characterized by alternative thinking, values and systems. Experts who suggest new worldviews or perspectives in the fields of art, history, society and medicine will lead this round of discussion.
