Photography exhibition featuring works by Ryuichi Ishikawa, Kawori Inbe, and Takahiro Kaneyama that explores portraits and the conditions (background, landscape) in which they are shot. In the images presented, which have been selected from among those published in photo books by Akaaka, you can experience “landscapes” and see them captured as if they are human subjects.
In the back room of the gallery there will be a daily slideshow curated by various artists that will delve deeper into their practice and reveal yet more about the relationships between the people and landscapes that they have shot. You can also enjoy looking through the various photo books while relaxing in the cafe space.
Artists participating in the slide show: Masashi Asada, Ryuichi Ishikawa, Seido Kino, Eriko Koga, Shinryo Saeki, Harumichi Saito, Emi Nakata, Aya Fujioka, Lehlin Lee, Yu Yamauchi.
