Shepard Fairey
Held previously in 2015 and 2016, the intention of World Graffiti Art Exhibition is to establish the event as an annual celebration. For the 2017 edition, which will mark the third consecutive year, the aim is to spread the word about graffiti art further still. First means first, this exhibition will kick off 2017 with the work of Shepard Fairey, ran artist renowned as the figure driving the international graffiti art scene. Fairey is based in Los Angeles though his work appears in cities throughout the world and has influenced the global media greatly. In Japan he is best known as the talented artist behind the name OBEY. This exhibition will present the largest number of works by Fairey ever exhibited in Japan, including his early work and some of his most famous pieces.
