Artists

Hisao Hanafusa
This exhibition will showcases six of Hisao Hanafusa’s new paintings.
The theme of “Uchiden Kioku” (2012), the previous solo exhibition he held at the gallery, was “cosmic memory.” For this occasion, Hanafusa has created paintings inspired by the fifth dimension, which is something that no one has any knowledge of and remains a world unknown to mankind.

With his son Zui, Hanafusa runs Miya Shoji, a Japanese woodworking business in New York that has been in business since 1951. This will be Hanafusa’s second solo exhibition at Koki Arts.
