Hara Museum ARC
Finished

Artists

Yayoi Kusama, Robert Mapplethorpe, Robert Rauschenberg, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Tadanori Yokoo et al.
People have been looking up to the sky since ancient times. In addition to making scientific observations, such as weather forecasts, we have long been telling stories about the stars. By forming recognizable patterns from groups of stars with imaginary lines we have developed a mythology of constellations. In context of the universe, also known as a macrocosm, the work microcosm can refer to us - human beings that encapsulate in miniature the characteristics of this greater totality. This exhibition will present the work of artists that direct their imagination and creativity towards the infinite expanse of the distant universe as well as to the boundless depths of inner microcosms.
