This year diplomatic records of visits by Korean envoys to Japan during the Edo Period have been added to UNESCO’s Memory of the World register. Since 2010, however, the project “Korean envoys continued” has been building a new network between Japan and Korea through activities such as travel between the two countries, where symposiums and exhibitions have also been organized. This year, an artist residency program known as “AIR” was established during the summer and autumn in collaboration with four facilities and organizations in Korea. This exhibition marks the end of the residency and introduces the results of the artists’ stay.
