Jean Fusaro
Born in Marseille in 1925, Jean Fusaro studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Lyon. He was later invited to show his work at the Biennale de Menton and an Ecole de Paris exhibition. He has received numerous awards to date, including the Prix Fénéon, the Grand Prix de la Ville de Marseille, and the Prix de la Jeune Peinture Méditerranéenne, among others. Fusaro gained attention as a core figure of the Ecole de Lyon, alongside artists such as André Cottavoz. His chic, poetic works contain figures and forms that shimmer as if reflected off water. This exhibition, his largest in Japan, will present approximately 50 new and old works.
