Artists

Yasunori Inoue
White porcelain is a medium that places focus on surface texture and the beauty intrinsic to modeled form. It can be used to produce infinite numbers of like works with all kinds of subtle variations, requiring a high level of technical skill and ability in the maker. In addition to working with the modeling of forms, Yasunori Inoue expands his range of expression by making use of subtle gradation in the colored glazes he applies to his finished pieces. Among the 100 or so works presented here, which include stunning masterpieces such as flower vases and pots, there are many simple designs that are suited to everyday cookery. Enjoy observing all the subtle variations in shape as they across like forms, and have fun finding your favorite color combination.
