Artists

Maurice de Vlaminck
Maurice de Vlaminck (1876–1958) was a musician, writer, car racer, and painter in the Fauvist movement. He was later involved in Cubism and influenced Japanese painters such as Yuzo Saeki and Katsuzo Satomi. He is known for his still lifes and depictions of villages, homes, and snowy landscapes removed from the hustle and bustle of Paris. This exhibition presents some 80 works from collections in France and Switzerland, tracing the lineage of both his painting and writing careers.
