Kazushi Kobayashi
After working as a fashion designer for the Issey Miyake brand, Kazushi Kobayashi, who is also known as a sculptor, video artist, and clothing designer in his own right, went freelance, offering his services as an artist, designer, and scenographer. His art project featuring beautiful yet amazingly realistic insects constructed with paper and a single pair of scissors is often referred to as his “life work.” In order to produce his intricate life-sized insects he uses scissors to cut to the precision of within one fifteenth of a millimeter. Roughly 30 of these enchanting works will be on exhibit here.
