Yusuke Tsuchida
Yusuke Tsuchida is a photographer who was born in 1981 and completed his BA in Design at Tama Art University, Japan in 2005. His photographs capture twenty-first century scenes illuminated by artificial light. Like “master of light” Johannes Vermeer, who depicted light as a part of daily life in the seventeenth century, Tsuchida portrays light in context our contemporary day-to-day life.
This exhibition will present his new series “Apollo” that further pursues “light” in the capital city. It follows on from his previous major series “Display” and “Night Works.”
