Shuichi Inohana
As a child Shuichi Inohana spent time at his grandparent’s traditional Japanese house with fusuma sliding doors, which he felt opened up to rooms like other worlds, each containing different versions of himself. These installations of fusuma boxes containing items like letters, shells, and other treasures reflect the surreal, tautological feelings such self-contained spaces bring.
