This exhibition introduces elegant brush and ink landscape paintings in the tradition of the Wu School that was active from the end of the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644) to the early days of the Qing Dynasty (1644–1912), as well as works by unorthodox painters such as Xu Wei, Shitao, and Bada Shanren, who developed the expression of the fantastic. Discover many wonderful paintings by these artists who lived through this period of historic transition.
