Kosuke Ishihara + Mishiho Fukuhama “Exercise & Grandscape”

Loko Gallery
Finished

Artists

Kosuke Ishihara, Mishiho Fukuhama
Kosuke Ishihara’s work features clothed figures in motion as a key motif, which he has kept returning to and repeating in recent years. This exhibition will focus on the latest works in his “Exercise” series. The originality of Ishihara’s approach can be seen in the deformed shape of the human forms he depicts, with attention paid to the texture and color of the paint surface.
Mishiho Fukuhama, on the other hand, will exhibit works from his “Grandscape” series, comprised of large format oil paintings that depict miniature structures arranged by the artist. His delicate and versatile gradation of light achieved through the application of multiple layers of paint illuminates the world on the canvas, suggesting a fantastic yet real existence.
The differing style of these two artists invites a diverse viewing experience.
