Madoka Furuhashi’s first exhibition at Yutaka Kikutake Gallery features a new installation made up of works created in Italy and Indonesia. Furuhashi’s site-specific pieces are based on her research into familiar objects during studies of art and architecture in England. A visit to a stone quarry in northern Italy in 2015 inspired the materials and processes used to make these work considering the power of labor.
