Bookmarc presents the third installment of its Ukiyo-e Project started in 2014 with the aim of continuing the legacy of Ukiyo-e artistry. Inspired by Japanese aesthetics, this show is an homage to David Bowie, who had a deep relationship with Japan. A collaboration between Ukiyo-e and photography, it features images from 1974 for the promotional shoot of Diamond Dogs by the famous London-born photographer Terry O’Neill and two works inspired by the jacket photography for Bowie’s 1973 album Aladdin Sane. There will be an opening reception the night before the exhibit’s first day.
