The Yamanaka research lab at the University of Tokyo is researching and producing prototypes of robots with the aim of improving communication between humans artificial objects. This exhibition showcases nine recent and new working prototypes. As the prototypes move, a designer or artist is able to adjust various parameters to allow for the artificial object to move ever more beautifully and naturally. The exhibition is set up to even allow for visitors to make adjustments to the movement parameters. Takayuki Todo’s SEER (Simulative Emotional Expression Robot) will also be exhibited.
