Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery
Finished

Artists

Tomoo Gokita
From album covers to magazines, Tomoo Gokita works in a wide variety of genres. In illustrations, collages, and other works, he pursues his own unique style with influences from the American underground cultures of the 1960s and 1970s. In recent years his work has turned toward black and white portraits of distorted figures, which he creates in both Japan and abroad. This exhibition of 50 works from the year 2000 onward focuses on his new paintings and drawings.
