These works from the Terada Collection represent “life during childhood” or “feelings of maternal embrace.” Artists include Hasui Kawase (1883–1957), Yukio Futagawa (1932–2013), and Yasuhiro Shiba (1970–) working in different eras and styles. Their works give us the opportunity to reflect on nostalgia and images of origin in our contemporary world.
