Mariko Kobayashi
Textile artist Mariko Kobayashi weaves, dyes, braids, and embroiders cloth, thread, washi paper, and other materials in works expressing “forms of prayer uniting people and nature.” Her works depicting the natural cycles of life and death remind us of our relationship to living things. Inspired by Art For Thought’s interest in helping people enjoy art and food at any time day or night, the theme of this show is “nocturnal creatures.”
