This event has ended.

Korean ceramics reflect cultural aesthetics and sculptural concepts. White porcelain from the Joseon era (1392–1910) in particular exudes an austere beauty and spirituality that gently embraces the human heart. Charmed by its functional beauty, Japanese Folk Craft Movement leader Soetsu Yanagi (1889–1961) collected Korean ceramics while in the country from 1910 to 1930. This exhibition focuses on white porcelain jars, vases, and other works from Yanagi’s collection demonstrating the sense of freedom and innocent beauty that characterize Korean ceramics.
