This event has ended.

Yosuke Amamiya is an artist who produces works that encourage viewers to reconsider of boundaries of things using various approaches, such as sculpture, video installation and performance. In this, his first solo exhibition in Japan for ten years, the artist will present three kinds of artworks that he was been working on his career: apple sculptures, works in paper that address time, charcoal drawings. His apple sculptures, for example, have an impressive likeness to real apples that invites viewers to experience something akin to that which they feel in the supermarket upon seeing these uncanny fruits. Such works focus on the appearance of the world and how it can be called into question through doubt.
