Kozo Miyoshi
New Old School is a photo exhibition by former students of photographer Kozo Miyoshi. Miyoshi, a lecturer in the Department of Photography at Nihon University, is known for only using film and his students have followed his path, continuing to hone their skills even after graduation. Most of these photographers were born in the late Showa-era (the late 80s to the early 90s) and experienced the transition of photography from analog to digital, which has made them think more seriously about the meaning of shooting film and producing prints in the dark room. The title New Old School was created from the long conversations between the photographers and Kozo Miyoshi.
