Augustin Rebetez
Augustin Rebetez (1986) lives and works in Mervelier, Switzerland. He works in various media including painting, photography, video, sculpture, installation and mobile. He is developing a universe populated by characters, chimeras, and peculiar machines which reflect his imagination. Inspired by outsider and folk art brut as well as tribal design, he constructs a multifaceted body of work that defies categorization. His creations swing between dream and nightmare. He is a modern alchemist and a magician, playing with movement and sound, transforming banal reality into poetic fiction.
