Artists

Takashi Makino
Video artist Takashi Makino’s “Memento Stella” is a reminder that amid the loss of life to war, terrorism, and climate-related disasters, we are born and live on this small planet, humans and other living creatures coexisting together. If even for only a moment we are able to realize this, perhaps we can transcend religious, political, geographic, and other desires and find deeper connections. This exhibition presents the films “Memento Stella Sea” and “Memento Stella II,” along with copperplate prints and “On Generation and Corruption” (2017) and “Spase Noise 3D” (2016), works important to the Memento Stella Project.
