Artists

Genichiro Inokuma
At any given time, Showa period artist and ardent cat lover Genichiro Inokuma kept over a dozen cats. As evidenced by his many works depicting cats, they were an important motif in not only his private life but also in his artwork. This exhibit will showcase over one hundred of his oil and watercolor paintings and sketches from the collection of the Genichiro Inokuma Modern Art Museum in his hometown of Marugame in Kagawa Prefecture. Welcome to the unique world of Show period artist Inokuma.
