The art festival “in Beppu” invites international artists for solo exhibitions that draw on the special characteristics of this Kyushu hot spring city. This time it welcomes Anish Kapoor, known for his dynamic sculptures evoking Eastern philosophies. Three of his projects are installed in Beppu Park situated between the mountains and the sea: “Void Pavilion V,” “Concept of Happiness,” and “Sky Mirror.” Tours will be given every Saturday, except for Oct. 6 and Oct. 13.
