Artists

Georges Rouault
The figure of an exhausted clown, the warm light of a sunset, and a listless dying Christ. 60 years after his passing, the work of Georges Rouault’s work still has the power to move its audience. His work portrays the paint that humans endure and yet also reflect the brilliance that is found in life and continues to inspire people beyond its time and regardless of differences in belief. This exhibition showcases some of the best oil, watercolor, pastel, and woodblock print pieces from the Panasonic Shiodome Museum, one of the most prized collections in the world.
