Georges Braque “Métamorphoses”

Panasonic Shiodome Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Georges Braque
In his final years, Georges Braque, one of the founders of Cubism, sought to apply his aesthetic beyond paintings. The result was Metamorphoses, a series of jewelry, ceramic works, sculptures, and other three-dimensional artworks adapted from his paintings. This is the first exhibition in Japan that focuses entirely on these works. Accompanied by a handful of early paintings, these works will serve as a colorful demonstration of Braque’s enormous creativity.
