Based in Yokohama, the duo Couch is formed of multidisciplinary artists Hiroki and Reiko Miyazaki. Couch is the winner of Digital Choc Prize 2017, awarded to up-and-coming Japanese creators in the field of digital arts and organized by the Festival Digital Choc - French Institute of Japan, Scopitone Festival in Nantes and Biennale Némo in Ile de France.
“Pixel works: Reproduction Prohibited” is a project that transforms an existing landscape on a computer screen into a life-sized image in situ. Here in this attempt to “unplug” the digital arts the world of pixelated computer images becomes a real landscape.
