Tot: Giovanny Sanchez
Colombia is renown for its street art. Street art thrives not only in the capital Bogota but also on the streets of Cartagena and Medellin and even on the walls of World Heritage buildings. Bogota-born artist Tot is not only known for graffiti art but also as a leading Colombian pop artist working in plastic art and graphic design. Tot’s colorful graffiti, with its trademark cat and various characters, has been put to canvas and featured in the city’s urban art. His work has been featured in various exhibitions such as Miami International Art Fair, Caracas FIA, Switzerland’s Art Basel, etc. and in collaborations with global brands such as Intel, Nokia, Samsung, Nike, etc. This exhibit will showcase 25 pieces commemorating the artist’s first visit to Japan. Tot: Giovanny Sanchez himself will be visiting the venue on 5/8 (Tue) and 5/9 (Wed).
