Artists

Michiko Isono
Michiko Isono is an artist interested in people’s everyday behaviors. A neutral observer of human activity, she creates works that do not reflect people’s individuality. Instead, she keeps a baseline distance from her subjects, allowing us to rediscover what we may take for granted in our typical environments. This show of installation work includes new pieces from a 2013 series inserting spherical and cylindrical glass with film from advertorial and other photoshoots capturing street scenes. Through their use of space, these pieces show us the varied ways countless numbers of people go about their lives.
