Artists

Kishin Shinoyama
Kishin Shinoyama has and continues to the lead the field as a photographer since the late 1950s. For this exhibition, Shinoyama reexamines the power of photography. Divided into God, Star, Body, and Accidents, the exhibition showcases 120 selected photos capturing people including celebrities such as John Lennon & Yoko Ono and Momoe Yamaguchi and regular folks such as the victims of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. These impactful portraits bring the viewer to once again ask what is Japan and what it means to be Japanese.
