A series of photographs taken when Yoichiro Nishimura stayed in Paris last November. The photographs are monochrome snapshots focusing on Paris scenes, events, and people. These images are in contrast to his darkroom photograms or scangrams of interior scenes from the ‘Blue Flower’ series, which has been the focus of his work so far. In a talk on October 13, Nishimura will explain how he thinks about snapshots while recounting episodes of when he was in Paris. He also plans to tell stories from Hong Kong, where he will be staying at the end of September.
