The 2018 edition of 40 of the best monochrome prints by four photographers. Today, black and white photography exists in many forms including the traditional method of shooting on film and printing on paper, completely digital method from start to finish, to a mixture of both methods. For this exhibition, Katsumi Nagashima, a photographer versed in both analog and digital, is exhibiting still life prints using the silver halide process. Print artist Natsuki Kenmoku is presenting a selection of candid shots from her time in New York. Essayist and photographer Makiko Kinjo shoots on film and combines them with digital shots to create works centered on the motif of flowers. Jun Ashiya is showing landscape photographs that emphasize the subjective assertiveness of black and white.
