For the first time, part of the official 2018 Kyotographie program will travel to Tokyo. Exhibitions will inhabit different areas of the Tokyo metropolis, mainly housed in Kyotographie sponsor venues. There will be ten programs at six sites. The theme for Kyotographie 2018 is “Up.” In today’s world it is easy to feel burdened, pulled down by the issues we face personally and as a global community. Kyotographie invites you to look around, to look inside, in order to better look UP and trigger a new personal and collective impetus towards ourselves and each other to change our world through awareness, action, and creation.
Chanel Nexus Hall presents “In Goude We Trust!” This two-part exhibition mounted by Goude himself comprises highlights from his collaborations with Chanel and more personal works, as well as a live restaging of the dance spectacle Fire Installation, which Goude choreographed in 2001 for a showing of The Five Elements Chanel jewelry collection.
