Taro Okamoto
Taro Okamoto’s Tower of the Sun was reopened in March 2018. While the last exhibition looked back on the years through the present from 1967, when the tower was designed for the 1970 Osaka Expo, this show examines the work Okamoto did in the 1960s in preparation for the Expo. Exploring “The Expo and Taro” from different angles, it reveals the major transformations in Okamoto’s artistic style during this decade.
