Leading Japanese photographer Mikiya Takimoto is a genre-crossing artist whose works captivate viewers with the power of their ideas and creative expression, seen in projects ranging from commercial and art photography for clients including Toyota, Mr. Children, and Japan Rail, to photography direction for films such as Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Palme d’Or-nominated “Soshite Chichi ni Naru” (Like Father, Like Son) and the Japan Academy Prize-winning “Umimachi Diary” (Our Little Sister). This exhibition surveys Takimoto’s career in more than 400 works.
