In this collaborative exhibition, Ray Toma a photographs the atelier and processes by which Yoichiro Yoshikawa creates his work “Walk on the Edge of Sense.” In recent years Yoshikawa has been creating sculptures as devises for carrying out behaviors that viewers can not only observe but also take part in. At first his use of these sculptures may appear to be performances, but by allowing spectators to change places with him at anytime, Yoshikawa is in fact “simply demonstrating,” he explains.
